Join our partners at the uCreate studio to discover how to make content for Virtual Reality. This digital skills workshop is supported by our partners, uCreate Studios.
Please note, this course takes place at the uCreate Studio (Room 1.12 of the University’s Central Library 30 George Square, Edinburgh EH8 9LJ). Please report to the porter’s desk on arrival.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.
Participants must bring with them their own laptop and smartphone.
This session looks in more detail at the various tools and technologies available for generating VR content, covering:
1. Key concepts for designing in VR.
2. Key tools for designing with VR.
3. Sourcing content for VR design.
This is a hands-on, practical workshop.
On completion of this workshop, students will have:
Increased their confidence in trying new digital skills;
Developed skills in beginner friendly tools for creating VR content, along with the knowledge of more advanced development tools and resources available to continue to develop their skills.
No additional reading is required.
