Bill Hare, the curator of The Scottish Endarkenment, will present and discuss the works from this exhibition. Students will not only gain a depth of knowledge of the various works on display, but also will learn about the challenges involved with the organisation and curation of a complex thematic exhibition.
Please note, this course takes place in the Dovecot Gallery.
The class will take place in the gallery in front of the works of art, allowing for close examination and discussion.
Informal discussion in a gallery setting, led by an experienced curator.
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Communicate knowledge of the various works on display in the exhibition;
Assess critically the works;
Understand the challenges involved with the organisation and curation of a complex thematic exhibition.
